This information can be used to strategize and to help select a team with abilities that will have strong attacks. The highest level of skills also provide the added benefits of long-term effects as well as other advantages.īefore a battle, Trainers will usually be shown the opposing team along with their levels and abilities. Increased Elemental abilities will allow the Dragon to do more damage and provide better defences in battle, as well as the ability to affect multiple targets. These abilities should be raised up to the highest level at the Dragon Academy, as quickly as possible. Having a Dragon's Elemental skills built up is vital. Selecting a team of Dragons that are more than one or two levels (depending on Elemental abilities) below the opposing Dragons can easily result in defeat. A Dragon's level and Enchantment Level should be comparable to the opponent it will be battling. Several factors should be taken into consideration when selecting a team. Once a Trainer has selected the Dragons they wish to have on their team(s), they will need to be properly levelled and trained. Dragons should be selected according to their level and the strength of their abilities against various opposing teams. Only three are needed for regular battles, but six are needed to complete the Bottomless Dungeon and up to six can be used for the Enchantment League. A minimum of six Dragons should be chosen and prepared for battles. It is very important to have the proper Dragon team built up when going into battle.ĭragons will need to be raised to Level 4 or higher before they can participate in a battle. Incapacitating Bite: Choosing this mastery unlocks a passive chance for each attack performed by the Primal Dragon to stun the opposing dragon.The general mechanics of battle apply to almost all venues: Campaign Map, Bottomless Dungeon, Dragon League, Sigil Campaign, and events (with the Enchantment League being a notable exception). Savage Bite: Choosing this mastery unlocks a passive chance for the Primal Dragon to retaliate against any attacker, dealing a portion of the damage dealt back at its attacker. Like all dragons, Primal Dragons have two masteries available, one of which can be chosen once you've reached level 6 in the Dragon Academy. This skill has both a Positive Effect and Negative Effect, which increases the damage that the affected dragon deals by a percentage (based on the level of the skill), while also increasing the damage that it receives from attackers (also based on the level of the skill). Similarly, the Primal Element comes with its own unique skill called Bloodlust, which allows the dragon to cast a passive effect on either itself or another allied dragon. Primal Dragons are valuable to have on your side - you've just got to make sure you have the right complementary dragons to help keep them in the battle. This means that they are a risk-and-reward type of dragon to have on your team: though they take a lot more damage, they can also deal extra damage to any dragon. While Primal Dragons are not as powerful as their Divine or Ancient counterparts, they do still come with some very special features.
